It is our requirement that a patient attends either programme of their own free will.
A referral from a GP or another doctor is vital as information about a patient’s medical history and current health is needed. A referral form is provided to ensure that all relevant information for referral is covered.
An outpatient assessment with a consultant psychiatrist is usually available within 24 hours and an admission date will be agreed. Patients can pay for treatment themselves or be funded by their employer or the NHS.
